Volunteer with Iowa Raptor Project
Dedicated volunteers are the heart and soul of the Iowa Raptor Project. They include students and staff from Kirkwood Community College and the University of Iowa, as well as teachers, researchers, retirees, artists, and more. Volunteers are involved in every aspect of the IRP, and are conscientious, dependable, and incredibly giving individuals.
Teach Outside at School of the Wild
Seasonal outdoor educators at School of the Wild led students in daily learning experiences about Iowa’s natural world. Areas of focus include Iowa’s natural habitats: prairies, wetlands, and woodlands; Iowa’s native wildlife, and Iowa’s natural history and archeology.

Teach Outside at Iowa Wildlife Camps
Camp Instructors spend their summer outside engaging campers – from Pre-K through 12th grade – in transformative outdoor experiences. Camp activities are rooted in place-based learning with hands-on outdoor exploration that centers project-based and play-centered learning.
